8. Article: Cabbies use grant from T’ganu govt to buy used cars instead of new ones (The Star) – an interesting article showing how taxi drivers in Terengganu used a government grant to buy used taxis (thereby keeping more money in their own pockets).
[TRANSIT: It’s not such a bad thing-everyone knows that a new car loses 1/2 of its value as soon as it is driven. What needs to be done is to train these taxi drivers how to account for the taxi as an asset so that they can write off the cost of buying a new one as a business expense.]
