TRANSIT is pleased to announce that the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (ASLI) will be holding the second “National Summit on Urban Public Transport” on 15 October 2009.
I am pleased to inform that ASLI will be holding its National Summit on Urban Public Transport 2009 on 15 October at Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur, with its official opening by Minister of Transport, YB Dato’ Sri Ong Tee Keat.
We would like to invite you to join us once again as a Panelist. The session is entitled “A Unified and Seamless Public Transport Network”.Stemming from this and major issues & concerns raised at ASLI’s inaugural summit in 2008 [TRANSIT: See our report here], the National Summit on Urban Public Transport 2009 shall resume its objective in providing a platform in bringing together key industry players to brainstorm on possible collaborative efforts and generate new ideas on improving urban public transport.
Our theme this year is “Integrating the Public Transport Network”. Integration – in regard to regulation, planning, network route and infrastructure – is seen as the chief missing link in our transport network and will be the key towards a more efficient public transport network.
TRANSIT Says:
We are there. More details and info to come.
