Updated at 6:30 pm – According to a source in the office of the MP for Kelana Jaya, the consultation planned for March 17 has been called off.
The source indicates that Prasarana has requested that the meeting be called off.
Is anyone else embarassed by this?

It has come to the attention of TRANSIT that there will be a meeting between Perunding Trafik Klasik (Consultant appointed by Prasarana to develop the Integrated Public Transport Network) and focus groups in Kelana Jaya and Subang Jaya.
This meeting will take place on March 17 at 8 pm.
TRANSIT notes that, despite all the talk about having plans to improve public transport, the consultant was only appointed in August 2008 and the appointment letter was only sent on 17 September 2008 (as you can see from the copy of the appointment letter below).
TRANSIT (and probably everyone else) really would like to know what Prasarana has been doing in this area of strategic planning since 2003.
We are supposed to have an “Integrated Public Transport Network” in the Klang Valley but it appears that all we have are maps that someone drew.
When Hong Kong’s government forced the Mass-Transit Railway Corporation (MTR) and Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) to merge in 2007, it took all of 3 months to complete the merger and less than 1 year to fully integrated the rail transport network.
Prasarana and RapidKL were created in February 2003. That is 6 years … and counting.
