Malaysian among those killed in Megabus crash

A double decker Megabus traveling from Philadelphia to Toronto went off its route and crashed into a low railway bridge outside Syracuse, upper New York State, on September 11, killing 4 passengers.

One of those passengers was Benjamin Okerie, from Malaysia.

TRANSIT Says:

As you know, the people of Malaysia are sadly all too familiar with bus crashes caused by careless or reckless driving. In this case, the driver appears to have been lost and using his own GPS system at the time of the crash.

Megabus is a “low-cost” bus brand and its operations in the United States (run by Coach USA) have a record of crashes. It just goes to show you that safety standards and constant vigilance are always necessary.
