Anyone of you managed to post feedback to DOR? I have a problem as the CAPTCHA image at the bottom of the feedback form doesn’t show on my computer.

Also, the LRT extension feedback website has too little info — compared to the Melaka aerorail site — that it’s practically useless.

Prof Nasimul

Please tell us which part of Shah Alam you referring to.

The RapidKL U62 bus serves the Klang – Sunway Pyramid Route. Stops in Shah Alam are:

*UiTM (UITM – Padang Jawa interchange)
*Kawasan Perindustrian (Pusat Bandar Shah Alam interchange)
*Istana Kayangan (Tesco interchange)

According to reliable source, proposed LRT track in Bukit Jalil will be just 17m away from my house. Can anyone tell me what is the minimum requirement of proximity between LRT track and residential house? In addition, I am also concerned that STAR LRT using in current Bukit Jalil line which actually produce more noise vs Putra LRT, nothing different from conventional train. Please help me in this! Resident from Taman Esplanad, Bukit Jalil.

Hi Gary

As far as TRANSIT knows there is no minimum requirement for distance between the LRT guideway and a private home. The proposed extension of the Kelana Jaya line will in fact be as close to 6m from some houses in Subang Alam.

Regarding the noise levels from the LRT lines, we will obtain the info from our sources and see if there is a significant difference.

Is 6 m buffer zone sufficient? Rakyat diutamakan…… which translate to public concern will be prioritised, is the authority doing so? another thing is are you aware that Star LRT is actually produce higher noise leven than Putra due to the design

I heard that the construction of Melaka tram has been officially launched today by our Deputy Prime Minister and the construction will start on this coming May. Can anybody kindly comment on this matter??

How’s the Marcus Evens conference on public transport that happened two days ago in KL?? Can anyone comment on this matter?

Hi Jeffrey

We will update on the conference as soon as possible.

As a reminder, please refrain from posting the same question into different threads. You can always email your questions to us directly and we will respond.

See! Not even one month our ONLY funicular train is having problems now. First world facilities, third world maintenance! Malaysia Boleh!!

Yup, our only funicular train in Penang Hill had done it again!! This time is the air-cond. breakdown that halted the service. Malaysia Boleh!! First world facilities, third world maintenance!!

Last night (28th July 2011) 11:30pm, NTV7 programme Siasatan Mandarin 2011 (got English/Malay subtitles) had mentioned a series of problems, issues and delay about the 14 train coaches donated by Japan JR West and the KTM commuter services. Even former transport minister Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat also had some disagreement about these issues with KTMB. The worst part is NTV7 could not get in contact with our new transport minister Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha although they had tried to do so for quite a few times as if he is trying to avoid media for all these dilemma and embarrassments You can watch it again on . Anyone who watched this programme last night will understand what is really going on. I don’t want to comment much about it.

There are no major changes to the KL Transit Map for 2012. Komuter service was extended to Sg. Gadut last year, and RapidKL’s extensions to the Kelana Jaya and Ampang LRT lines are expected to start service in late 2013 or early 2014.

Moaz for TRANSIT,

Thank you for the info.
Komuter service for seremban extended to sg.Gadut.
The Rawang part extended to Tg.malim right? (just to confirm :p)

Thanks for the question. Currently, KTM Komuter offers direct service between Rawang & Sg. Gadut. Service from Rawang – Tanjung Malim is still by the shuttle train.
